ABB's new TVOC-2 arc-flash monitoring system helps reduce the risks associated with arc-flash incidents, saving lives and minimizing equipment damage. The TVOC-2 arc-flash monitoring system meets Safety Integrity Level 2 (SIL 2) requirements and is recognized—both today and in the future—as a leading-edge arc-flash monitoring solution.
ABB's arc-flash monitoring system consists of a light-sensing unit, fiber optic cables, and a monitoring unit. The brand-new TVOC-2 is compatible with switchgear and systems of various specifications, offering exceptional flexibility. ABB aims to provide users with the systems they truly need. The standard configuration of the TVOC-2 includes 10 optical probes, designed to meet the protection requirements of standard-specification switchgear. If a user’s system expands or requires additional sensors, simply adding two expansion modules to the main unit of this product allows the total number of sensors to be increased up to 30.
